"As a designer, I would not put a bold cheap toms shoes for men color on the wall in a paint," she said. "I would get the color in the room but in areas that are easily changed."
Rogers suggests using neutral colors for paint but hanging artwork on the walls that feature the trendy colors or using those colors on your windows.
"That way you can stay on trend, but you have a foundation that goes with whatever comes and goes."
"The biggest change you can make a room is the paint color," she said. "It is the least expensive option that makes a real dramatic change in the room."
But Evans said to always choose the best paint you can afford.
"It'll last longer and will be easier to take care of," he said. "Cheap cheetah toms shoes paint is cheap paint."
To give the room an even more sophisticated look, the accent colors can be paired with a dove gray color, which is a gray that has a tinge of lavender or rose in it, as opposed to a "gray that feels like cement."
Evans said these colors would create a "very high-end, French-looking combination."
But before choosing colors simply based on what colors are popular, Evans and toms vegan shoes Rogers say several factors have to be taken into consideration.
Consumer Reports, an independent organization that provides product information to consumers, tests and ranks paints on a variety of factors - including how well it covers and the smoothness with which it goes onto a surface.
Ed Perratore, a senior editor for Consumer Reports, said the organization releases a report once a year with the results of its tests, which are conducted throughout the year. The next report will be released in the March 2012 issue of Consumer Reports magazine.
"But we're testing all the time," Perratore said. "Because it is over time that we expose the paints to the various elements."
Consumer Reports also tests paint attributes such as resistance to mildew and fading.
Paints are divided into three categories based on the sheen: Flat or matte paints have no shine, semi-gloss paints have a high shine and satin or eggshell paints fall in between.
The overall score is issued on a scale of 0 to 100, with those rated more than 80 considered "excellent" and those rated between 60 and 80 considered "very good."
