The Hinsdale Falcons 93-pound Red team beat the Bartlett

In the second half, both defenses prevented scoring crooks and castles varsity jacket strikes in the third quarter. As the fourth quarter got underway, the Patriots tied the score at 8-8 with a TD on a fumble recovery, followed by a 2-point conversion.

But Hinsdale’s Collin Hoffman returned the ensuing kickoff to his own 35-yard line, and Bradley then caught a pass and dashed 65 yards into the end zone, putting the Falcons back in the lead.

A fired-up Falcons defense too over from there. Michael Lohmeier (3.5 tackles) and Ryan Miller double-teamed rushers; Reed Willman thwarted pass attempts; Simon Griffith (2 tackles), Chris Schaber and Matt Allen forced the Patriots offside, and Cherry (6 tackles) crushed a runner on fourth down, forcing the red and white letterman jacket cheap Patriots to turn the ball back over to the Falcons.

After gaining 31 yards on a 3rd-and-10 play, Cherry set up Christian Davis (16 yards receiving, 9 yards rushing, TD) to jolt through the South Elgin blockade for another touchdown. Marinko scooped up Cherry’s pass for two extra points, making it 22-8.

With less than two minutes remaining, Anthony “Buba” Griffiths moved in for a QB sack. Marinko (3 tackles) secured the victory by intercepting the final Patriots pass.
The Hinsdale Falcons 93-pound Red team beat the Bartlett Raiders 14-7 on Saturday, in the process gaining revenge for its only loss of the season.

Bartlett stormed out of the gate and scored on its first girl letterman jackets drive, and converted the point-after for an early 7-0 lead. But the advantage was short-lived lead, as Connor Chisnell returned the ensuing kickoff for a 60-yard TD, with quarterback Conor Coyne adding the point-after to tie the score at 7-7.

The second and third quarters featured tough defense, highlighted by big hits from Blaise Reichert, Griffin Hawthorne, DJ Kelly and David Hanson. Though the Falcons didn’t score, they gained first downs on tough running by Jack Gray and Jack Keivan, and well-placed punts by Coyne thwarted Bartlett as well.

In the fourth quarter, Chisnell broke a long run and was brought down on the Raiders’ 30-yard line. On the next play, running back Charlie Williams took the handoff and darted up the middle for the Falcons’ second TD of the game. Coyne converted the point-after with a run up the middle for a 14-7 lead.

Hinsdale’s defense then held the fort time after time, highlighted by the efforts of Luke Allison, Trey Newland, Zach Gooding, Reichert, Hawthorne, Charlie Williams, Coyne, Chisnell, Hanson, Kelly, Carter McCarroll and Austin Fikejs.
