It takes a real man to sport flannel blue varsity jacket in style and all my boys are up to the challenge. That's why The North Face Men's Klamath Jacket made it onto my list. It's designed with waterproof breathable material and features a snap-away powder skirt with gripper elastic, ample pockets, an adjustable fixed hood and plenty of insulation where it counts.
The Volcom Men's One4Zero Snowboard Jacket is another item that will be making its way under our Christmas tree. It looks great, is waterproof breathable and has tapered seams, as well as an adjustable powder skirt-to-pant interface that I adore.
The DC Helix Insulated Men's Jacket also made its way into my shopping cart. It has a removable wrist gaiter, a magnet chest flap, tapered seams and miles of style. I also appreciated the water resistant material, ample personalized varsity jackets insulation and the underarm vents.
The Nike STADIUM MFG space offers a more interactive take on a selection of signature Nike Sportswear pieces—meaning, Nike provides you with one of their iconic pieces and you get to make it your own with chosen patches. The store itself has been around for about a year and has offered everything from Brazilian soccer paraphernalia to surf and skate wear, and Nike changes the design of the shop every time they celebrate a new theme. The new hooded varsity jacket seasonal theme—in time for the holidays, of course—is the Nike Destroyer Jacket, an updated version of the wool varsity jacket that has been a MEGA TREND for fall and donned by peeps like Rihanna and Kanye. Nike's version is water-repellant, super duper warm, and lightweight, not to mention completely KILLER and guaranteed to up any style factor a bagillion points. It typically retails for $450, but if you want to customize it STADIUM MFG-style, it's going to run you around $680 (meeeeeeow). Still, if you're desperate for a unique piece and don't want to DESTROY your bank account, the store also offers personalized items like hoodies, tees, and crewneck sweatshirts. To be fair, though, we're actually going to drop the "ugly" modifier when dicussing Bieber's foray into the holiday-friendly topper. Sure it just about screams, "HAI, SANTA, I CAN HAZ NICE LIST?" in all its red-and-white-and-Fair Isleness, but there's a subtle varied interpretation Justin is working here that we're aaaallll about. We've noticed the style chameleon has a serious thing for jackets (Exhibits A and B: that MJ-channelling band jacket vest and that all-white snack-hiding look). We ogled that varsity jacket he Insta'ed and cooed at his nod to how it's the closest he's gotten to high school. But this hybrid of a varsity jacket silhouette with the cozy patterned knit of a Christmas morning crew neck has us DUH-ROOLLING and golf clapping and holding hands all "Fah who foraze" in honor of Bieber's ingenuity and style-minded commitment to holiday spirit.
